It is official. Mark McMullen has been named Oregon’s State Economist, Governor Kitzhaber announced today. (Press Release here) While filling the role on an interim basis since Tom resigned last summer, Mark has dutifully led our team these past handful of months. Mark has and does bring a wealth of experience to the position which the office benefits from. Prior to joining the state a year and a half ago as our chief revenue forecaster, Mark served as the director of consulting for Moody’s Analytics and was a researcher at both the Congressional Budget Office and the Center for International Comparisons.
